SWIM PROGRAM 1.

Become an educated swimmer

Is this session right for you?

Conquer your fear of open water with our two-part program and boost your confidence in ocean swimming. You'll receive personalised coaching with Phil in a small group, supported by a water safety team member.

Swim Program 1 will teach you how to read conditions at any coastal location. Key elements discussed include wind, swell, tides, seafloor, and waves. We begin with a group discussion and transition into an exciting practical experience. You'll focus on diving, navigating through the break and back to shore, adjusting your stroke, sighting, and, for many participants, the highlight—body surfing.

Swim Program 2 is an opportunity to consolidate your skills and knowledge learned in Swim Program 1 and apply them practically. Part 1 ideally prepares you mentally and physically for the lifesaving skill of what to do when in a rip. In Part 2, you will navigate and deliberately swim in and out of a rip. This process is repeated. LEARN MORE ABOUT SWIM PROGRAM 2
