What’s involved?
Swim Program 2 is an opportunity to consolidate the skills and knowledge learned in Swim Program 1 and apply them practically. Part 1 ideally prepares you both mentally and physically for the lifesaving skill of what to do when in a rip. In Part 2, with Phil’s guidance and support from an additional water safety team member, you will navigate and deliberately swim in and out of a rip. This process is repeated.
PREREQUISITE > MUST COMPLETE SWIM PROGRAM 1
DURATION: 1.5 HOURS
15 minutes: Swim Program 1 recap
60 minutes: Practical Application
15 minutes: Debrief & Feedback
Each session is limited to 10 swimmers, ensuring personalised guidance and detailed feedback from the coach, supported by a member of our water safety team.

What you’ll learn…
ADVANCE YOUR SKILLS SO YOU CAN SWIM CONFIDENTLY IN THE OCEAN.
Diving: How to use the correct technique to get under waves in deep water.
In & Out: How to get through the break and return to shore in the fastest possible way.
Body Surfing: Utilise the whitewash when returning to shore.
Swimming: Learn what technique is best for different conditions.
Sighting: While swimming in the wave zone, you will be shown alternate sighting techniques.
Rips: Learn how to identify different rips and how to swim out of one safely.
